portfolio artist statement

Artist statement: This project was fun to make and had me dig deep into my creativity. This class has taught me more useful skills on a computer in 4 months than I have learned my whole life. Coming in I knew nothing about Adobe or its products but I slowly learned how to use them proficiently. I used a simple template for my portfolio so that my artwork would be the main story, not the background. You can see through the portfolio my projects slowly getting better and I am proud of myself for that. My main goal this semester was to learn something new and I believe I have achieved that with FMX-210. Thank you, Professor Roundtree. Template used and modified- Adobe Stock_501401895

postcard

Image
Artist statement: My inspiration for this postcard was my love for the West Coast of America. I was born in Colorado and would visit Rodeo Drive often it is one of my favorite family memories. My aunt lives in California and when I was young she would send us postcards just like this and it brings me back to my childhood. My family is what matters most to me in life and getting things like this from my aunt when I was young would remind me how much my family loves me even if we are not close to each other. I love California along with the tall pom trees and that's why I chose this design.

Business Cards

Image
Artist statement:  my inspiration for the business cards came mostly from my sketches and some business cards I have seen in real life. A business card should not be extremely flashy or something you have to look at for over 5 seconds. This is why I went a simple route for my business cards but also colorful. My first card has an abstract design to make the card pop and make people more likely to read it. My other 2 are simple, sleek designs, so someone who is reading it can get the information quickly as this is the main purpose of a business card.

Animation

artist statement: my inspiration for my animation was the  satisfying  feeling you get from completing your first task of the day. For me, my first task of the day is normally making breakfast and most morning that is a couple of fried eggs. Completing the first task means you can move onto the second and so on. So without this first step there would be no way for the others to follow making your first task of the day your most important

artist statement: My inspiration for this piece was my love for the movie bench warmers. Growing up this was my favorite movie and Clark who is in the picture is my favorite character. The challenging part of this assessment was making an accurate mask so that it would look correct in the photo and blending the grass with my feet is what took the most time. This project was really fun and I believe mine turned out very good.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IO1yDUJl8qw This video is an introduction to frame-by-frame animation in Photoshop and was made for beginners. In just under 2 minutes, the author of the video teaches you the basics of creating a simple animation. This is a great starting point for the technique. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g651e7tNaoc This video is longer, it is about 8 minutes, but it is a more in-depth guide to creating frame-by-frame animations in Photoshop. the video is a good walkthrough of the entire process, from creating your document to exporting your final animation. This is a better option if you're looking for a more detailed tutorial. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uawQR5UudtU This video promises a lazy approach to tweening and keyframing in Photoshop animation, which sounds right up my alley. Tweening and keyframing are techniques used to create smooth transitions between frames, and they can be a bit time-consuming to do manually. This video can teach us a shor
