Ps HW 1

 the Crop Tool seems the easiest to learn for a beginner. The video I found shows how to simply click and drag to select an area and then hit enter to crop the image. This would be helpful for situations like fixing photos or focusing on specific parts. Out of all the tools I researched this seems to be the easiest to use.

The brush tool I will use more often and it seems more complex than the crop tool. the video talks about creating custom brushes which would make it easier to find and keep the color you are looking for. you use the Brush tool for painting or drawing on photos, and adding details. The video seems good for starting out because it covers the basics of the tool.

The Gradient Tool was the third video I watched and it seems to be the hardest to use out of all of them. The video talks about the basics of the tool and how to get started and talks about how this tool can be difficult to understand at first. it also talks about the skill of crafting color shifts, for enhancing backgrounds or giving images dimension.

portfolio artist statement

Artist statement: This project was fun to make and had me dig deep into my creativity. This class has taught me more useful skills on a computer in 4 months than I have learned my whole life. Coming in I knew nothing about Adobe or its products but I slowly learned how to use them proficiently. I used a simple template for my portfolio so that my artwork would be the main story, not the background. You can see through the portfolio my projects slowly getting better and I am proud of myself for that.
